The latest drivers, released on the 20th of June have a number of quirky caveats :
Mac driver 11.0.0
• Added support for Pro Tools 11 with 003 Rack and Console (Pro Tools 10 not supported)
• Known Issue: Digi 002 Console and Rack not supported for PT 11 at this time
Windows driver 9.0.7
• Support for Pro Tools 10.3 - Pro Tools 11 with 003 Rack
• Known Issue: Digi 002 Rack not supported
Windows driver 9.0.5
• Support for Pro Tools 10.3 - Pro Tools 11 with 003 Console
• Known Issue: Digi 002 Console not supported
With regards to the Mac installer, the implication is that it is useless for a dual installation, with the 003 Rack not supported with PT10, and the 002 Rack not supported at this time in PT11 - is this the usual Avid vernacular for 'probably will work, but we're not officially supporting it' as opposed to it will not work, and is not compatible?
With regards to the Windows drivers, it would appear that 9.0.7 driver is specifically for the Rack units, and the 9.0.5 driver is specifically for the Console units - is that correct?
And again, presumably the not supported caveat is doublespeak for 'Should work, but we haven't tested it', but it's interesting that the Mac driver stipulates 'not supported at this time'.
I've seen a number of users of both Mac & Windows reporting that the units are working with PT11, so if somebody could advise which drivers they are successfully using, it would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Note – the best performance with Mac OS X and Digi 002 Rack is achieved by using fast dual processor Macs. Slower, single processor Macs will work with Digi 002 Rack, but at a reduced track and/or plug-in count. Pro Tools 6 for Mac OS X is fully compatible with Apple dual processor models. There is no need to install any additional software.

Digidesign 002 Console Driver
Power Mac G5 Requires Pro Tools LE 6.2.3
System Software
Mac OS 10.2.6 or 10.2.8 (Jaguar) Required for Pro Tools LE 6.1.2
- See System Software: Mac OS X Requirements
Digidesign 002 Drivers Windows 10
Total System RAM
- 384 MB minimum, 512 or higher recommended
- More RAM increases overall system and Pro Tools performance
- 512 MB RAM or higher suggested for sessions with high edit density, extensive use of plug-ins, or simultaneous use with MIDI sequencers
- DigiTranslator 2.0 will also require additional RAM
- OS X does not require minimum or preferred RAM settings for Pro Tools as RAM is dynamically allocated
Note: In Pro Tools 6.0.x, the maximum allowable RAM was 1.5 GB. MDD G4 models with 2.0 GB would cause a 'NeoAccess Error' and Pro Tools would not boot unless some RAM was removed. This issue is solved in Pro Tools 6.1 and higher. Answerbase Details
